PURPOSE:To improve the flexibility of system building by sending a signal while being converted into an optical signal, and converting the optical signal into an electric signal to identify the signal. CONSTITUTION:The titled transceiver is provided with a scrambler 20, a unipolar/bipolar converter 30 converting logic '0', '1' into '0-', '0+' respectively, or '0+', '0-', or '-0', '+0' or '+0', '-0', a transmission section A provided with an electrooptic converter connected to the unipolar/bipolar converter, an optoelectric converter, two comparators 60, 61 identifying the output signal of the optoelectric converter at a prescribed level around the zero level of the output signal of the optoelectric converter, a clock extracting device 71 connected to the optoelectric converter, a signal supervising regeneration section 90 connected to the comparators 60, 61 and the clock extracting device 71 to supervise the code rule of the output signal of the comparators 60, 61 and a descrambler 80 connected to the section 90. Thus, the system structure is made flexible.
