PURPOSE:To set the travel distance (vector) of a cursor suitable for the space of the working place of a mouse with an easy operation, by changing the vector of the fundamental travel quantity of the cursor based on click information from the mouse and the travel information of the mouse. CONSTITUTION:A display means which displays a first guide line on a display screen 1, and the display means which displays a second guide line crossing orthogonally to the first guide line on the display screen based on first click information from the mouse 3 are provided. Also, the means which changes the vector of the fundamental travel quantity of the cursor 2 based on second click information after first clicking and the travel information from the mouse 3. And when the mouse 3 is moved so that the cursor 2 can be moved along the guide line being displayed on the display screen 1, a travel vector on the travel plane (working plane) 4 of the mouse can be conformed with the travel vector of the cursor 2 accurately. In such a way, it is possible to easily change the vector of the fundamental travel quantity of the cursor based on the travel information of the mouse.
