PURPOSE:To execute a job processing and a reorganization processing in parallel, by reorganizing a copy data base in parallel while an on-line data base is operated, tracing update information, and replacing the on-line data base by an updated copy data base. CONSTITUTION:The on-line data base 3 where a data base is stored, the copy data base 4 which copies the data base, an update information file 5 which stores the update information, and an unload file 6 where the data of the data base is stored transiently are provided in a storage means. And the copy data base 4 is reorganized in parallel while the on-line data base 3 is operated, and the update information is traced, and the on-line data base 3 is switched to the updated copy data base 4. In such a way, it is possible to execute the reorganization of the data base in parallel with an on-line job processing.
