The device intended for creating directed forces and used, preferably, in the mining industry comprises an even number of tubular chambers 1 made of elastic material which are suitable to be connected to a source of pressurised fluid, and a rigid rectilinear rod 8 having plane bevels 19, the rod being mounted between the tubular chambers 1 so that the tubular chambers 1 are arranged in pairs and diametrically opposite each other in relation to the geometrical axis 9 of this rod 8. The device is provided with stays 10 which are applied to the external surface of the tubular chamber 1 and which are arranged diametrically opposite each other in relation to the axis 9 of the rod 8 and directed by their internal surface 12 towards the surfaces 20 of the rod 8 which are applied to the external surfaces of the tubular chambers 1. Intermediate wedges 14 are arranged diametrically opposite each other in relation to the axes 15 of the tubular chambers 1 and have surfaces 16 which are applied to the external surfaces of the tubular chambers 1 without coming into contact with the stay 10 and with the rod 8, and lateral surfaces 17, 18 which are applied to the plane bevels 13 of the stays 10 and the plane bevels 19 of the rod 8.
