PURPOSE:To easily obtain a capacitor which prevents a generated pulse voltage from dropping and a ceramic substrate from being broken by a method wherein a region to install a lead terminal is decided to be within a prescribed rate of size as measured from the center of this ceramic substrate. CONSTITUTION:A ferroelectric ceramic substrate 1 of various sizes is used; a nonlinear capacitor is constituted in such a way that a lead terminal 6a attached to the surface of the substrate 1 is arranged at a position which deviates by a size d from the center. A series circuit composed of the nonlinear capacitor 11 and a stabilizer 12 for a mercury-vapor lamp is connected to an alternating-current power supply 13. The generated voltage is measured by using an oscilloscope 14 which is connected between terminals of the capacitor 11. As a result, when a deviation (d) from the position to install the lead terminal 6 is set to be within 25% with reference to a size from the center of the substrate, it is made possible to prevent the generated pulse voltage from dropping and to prevent breakage from being caused due to the imbalance of oscillation.
