PURPOSE:To disengage a transfer device moving on a main transfer path from the main path and to get a state in which another transfer device is freely movable on the main transfer path, by placing plural sets of parallel rails movable by a supporting member at a disconnected part of a closed loop of a main transfer path connecting a roving stage and a fine-spinning stage. CONSTITUTION:A transfer device is moved to a position retreated from a main transfer path in order to carry out the maintenance of the transfer device moving on the main transfer path 3. In the above operation, the transfer device is stopped at a position corresponding to a rail attached to supporting members 29, 30 of a transfer device exchanger 16. The supporting member is moved along a guide member 19 with a driving apparatus 33 keeping the above state, the rail suspending the transfer device is moved to a retreating position and another rail is positioned at a position opposite to the main transfer path. |
