PURPOSE:To manufacture solid chlorine tablets which are tabletted easily and have a high solubility, by forming cylindrical grains with a diameter of 0.2-5mm into globular granules with a diameter of 0.2-5mm by means of a rolling granulating machine etc., drying them to be formed into tablets by a table machine. CONSTITUTION:After a cake in a wet state is formed into cylindrical grains with a diameter of 0.2-5mm using a extrusion granulation method, said cylindrical grains are formed into globular granules with a diameter of 0.2-5mm by means of a rolling granulating machine or a machine for forming globular grains. After the granules are dried, solid chlorine tablets are manufactured by forming the granules into tables by a tablet machine. Solid chlorine agents used are high-grade bleaching powder, trichloroisocyanuric acid, anhydride of dichloroisocyanuric acid sodium etc. To obtain a dihydrate of dichloroisocyanuric acid sodium, drying should be done at a temperature of 45-55 deg.C at which desorption of combined water does not occur.
