PURPOSE:To attain simple input of abbreviated dial by devising a medium storing the abbreviated dial that can be removed. CONSTITUTION:Depressing a write key of a character input keyboard 3 while an IC card is inserted into an IC card insertion port 5, a keyboard encoder 8 generates interruption to a CPU 7, the CPU 7 is switched to the IC card write mode and the presence of the mode is displayed on an LCD 4. Inputting the number of the abbreviated dial, the data corresponding to the abbreviated dial inputted in the card at present is displayed on the LCD 4. Hooking off a handset to depress the # key of the dial keyboard 2, the dialing is applied to an abbreviated dial displayed on the LCD 4 at present. Thus, it is possible to provide individual abbreviation dials for many persons on one telephone set.
