PURPOSE:To solder an electrode for a varistor element and linear electrode plates uniformly by forming the shapes of the electrode plates in a plurality of the linear electrodes extending from one point or one line and leading out external terminals from one parts of the linear electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The shapes of electrode plates are formed in a plurality of linear electrodes 7 extending from one point or one line, and external terminals 8a, 8b are led out of one parts of the linear electrodes 7. Since connection to an electrode 6 for a varistor element 5 is conducted by the linear electrodes 7 in the soldering of the electrode 6 and the electrode plates 7, flux and bubbles at the time of soldering escape from sections among the electrode 6 and the linear electrodes 7 easily, and do not remain among the electrodes. Accordingly, the electrode 6 and the linear electrodes 7 can be connected equally, thus preventing the deterioration of a performance aspect such as surge resistance.
