PURPOSE:To obtain a video signal at each field period without providing an external memory even when a long exposure time is set by providing a horizontal register so as to circulate an electric charge obtained by one exposure for plural number of times. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal register 15 transferring an electric charge swept out of a horizontal transfer section 14 to a vertical register 13 at prescribed transfer speed is provided to output the electric charge swept out of the horizontal transfer section 14 as it is, and the electric charge is restored once to the horizontal register 15 and transferred again to the vertical register to circulate the electric charge and the electric charge stored by one exposure is outputted repetitively for plural number of times. Thus, in setting an exposure time longer than one field period in the television signal, the circulation period of the electric charge is selected at least to be one field period, then the video signal in each field is outputted without missing, without providing an external memory especially.
