PURPOSE:To vulcanize a rubber within a short time in good thermal efficiency, by mixing a vulcanizing agent (vulcanization accelerator)-containing rubber with a ferrite powder of a spinel structure and irradiating the mixture with specified microwaves. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. rubber (A) (e.g., raw rubber) is mixed with 5-25pts.wt. ferrite powder (B) of a spinel structure, vulcanizing agent (C) (vulcanization accelerator), carbon black (D) and, optionally, other additives, and the mixture is irradiated with microwaves at 2450 ZHz.
