Vaporiser plug with a spark plug casing (2) and a heater (3, 6) with vaporiser chamber for vaporising a fuel fed in. The heater (3, 6) comprises a heating element (3) located in a protective tube (6). A capillary tube (4) that can be connected at one end to a fuel feed, and whose other end opens outside the heating element (3) into the space between the heating element (3) and the protective tube (6), runs through the heating element (3). Outlets (10) for the vaporised fuel are provided in the protective tube (6). <IMAGE>
