PURPOSE:To enable a printing device capable high-speed operation and low in unit cost, by providing a means for breaking down an ink-repellent film on a plate sheet by electric discharge to expose an ink receptive surface, a transfer roller for receiving an ink provided on a plate, and an impression cylinder for pressing a paper against the transfer roller. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 9 for discharge breakdown and an earthing member 10 for forming a closed circuit, which are connected to an electrical signal source 8, are disposed on the periphery of a cylinder 1, and are brought into contact with the surface of a plate sheet 2. While the plate sheet 2 is moved relative to the electrode by rotating the cylinder 1, a voltage is applied from the signal source 8, whereby a conductive film 6 and an ink-repellent film 7 are provided with perforations by electric discharge, exposing the surface of an ink-receptive substrate. An ink-supplying member 12 is disposed on the periphery of the cylinder 1. The member 12 applies an ink to image areas of a plate just made. The ink 13 is transferred onto a transfer roller (blanket) 14, against which a paper 16 is pressed by an impression cylinder 15, whereby the ink 13 on the roller 14 is transferred onto the paper 16. Thus, a desired printed matter is obtained. |
