PURPOSE:To support a bar rotatably even in case of such that is somewhat deformed by supporting plural bar supporting units with an elastic body, diving this unit into almost semicylindrical vertical two parts and making each possible to be opened or closed, and feeding a clearance between a supporter and the bar with oil all the time. CONSTITUTION:The bar fed to a bar feeder is rotatively supported by plural bar supporting units U installed at regular intervals along the feeder. Each bar supporting unit U is constituted of an upper side supporter 1 and a lower side supporter 2 of the specified length in almost semicylindrical form, and the bar is rotatively supported by each of bushes 10 and 11. At both sides of the lower supporter 2, there are provided with support plates 4 and 5, and these plates are attached to a substrate via an elastic body. The upper side supporter 1 is closed after the bar is fed in an open state by an on-off mechanism, and oil is supplied in a state of holding the bar between these supporters 1 and 2. Consequently, rock motion of the supporting unit U due to rotation the bar bent to some extent is absorbed by the elastic body, thus it causes no hindrance to the rotation at all.
