<p>A process for preparing a substance having an isocyanurate ring structure useful for preparation of lacquer or foam by trimerizing an organic isocyanate compound in the presence of a catalyst, which comprises using potassium fluoride as said catalyst. This process enables the end product to be obtained rapidly without formation of by-products. The reaction efficiency can be increased by further using a polyethylene oxide compound, a quaternary ammonium salt and/or a phosphonium compound.</p> |
