A perforator for documents which is easy to manufacture and has an aesthetically pleasing shape is essentially composed of three metal profile sections, i.e. a hollow profile section which forms the base plate (1a), a hollow profile section which forms the bearing block (1b) and a metal profile section which forms the pressure lever (2). The base plate (1a) and the bearing block (1b) are preferably integrally connected to one another, thus comprising a single hollow metal profile section (1). The free end of the bearing block takes the form of a slotted bearing bush (1c) for the mounted end (2a), which has a circular cross-section, of the pressure lever (2). <IMAGE>
