Positioning method and appts. involves two suction everter tubes (10) with side fins, upon which the pantyhose legs (3) are sleeved and required to precisely positioned e.g. for toe-closing. Moving carriage (50) has two pairs of grippers (52) which are closable to engage the legs (3) in the regions of the inverter tubes (10) side fins, and to position the legs (3) as the carriage (50) moves with the grippers (52) closed. Closing of the grippers occurs when a probe (56) for each pair of grippers (52) senses a detection point (31) on a pantyhose leg (3). Pref. the sensor probes (56) are photoelectronic and control grippers (52) actuator pistons. |
