Device for tightening a safety belt

A device for tightening a safety belt, which can be put on by means of a lap belt section and a shoulder belt section, in a vehicle, especially a motor vehicle, using a tightening lever, the fulcrum of which is positioned on a lever shaft which is connected via a crank to the belt lock. When the said belt lock is loaded with a force via the shoulder belt section, the crank is rotated by the tightening lever which is pivoted in this process in order to bring about tightening of the lap belt section.
