PURPOSE:To enable a machining condition control data to be input to and output from a host computer, by providing a means, which interprets, executes and feeds back a machining condition control command transmitted from the host computer, in an NC unit. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting and receiving means 12 receives a SYN command, when it is transferred to an NC unit from a host computer 1, to be fed to an interpretation means 13, and a machine interprets the command as the DATA LINK START to be fed to an executing means 14, storing the command in a memory 15. The executing means 14, which reads the command from the memory 15 outputting an OK command, showing the DATA LINK ESTABLISH PERMISSION, to be transferred to the computer 1 through the transmitting and receiving means 12, enables the command to be given and accepted. Thereafter, when an OK command, showing a down load of machining condition control data, is fed out from the computer 1, an NC unit side, deciding the down load for whether it is possible or not, feeds out the OK command to the computer 1 when possible. The computer 1, feeding a % command showing a data transfer start, transfers the machining condition control data to the NC unit side.
