PURPOSE:To carry out the handling of a jam in the document invertingly conveying passage in a discharged paper inverting unit rapidly and safely by openably providing a guide member which forms the document invertingly conveying passage so as to be opened to the conveying direction of a document, inside the discharged paper inverting unit. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet of document is clogged in the document conveying passage in a discharged paper inverting unit, as a facing member 70 is rotated centering around a facing hinge shaft 71, an inverting passage, a send-out passage 41, etc., are exposed. Then, by opening a movable guide 67 counterclockwise centering around a hinge side 67A, the greater part of the inverting passage 44 in the vicinity of the conveying upper course side and lower course side of a paper discharging center roller 46, the opening part of an invertingly inserting passage 42 on the upper part of a separating guide plate 49, the opening part of the send-out passage 41 on the upper part of a U-turn guide plate 56, etc. are opened or exposed. Thereby, the clogged document can be taken out easily, rapidly, and safely without suffering damage.
