PURPOSE:To obtain the title drum dryer easy to control the temp., having high energy efficiency, and without any leakage of a heating medium by internally heating the rotary drum by low-frequency induction heating. CONSTITUTION:A fixed shaft 11 is fixed to a frame 8 supporting a drum dip tank 2 contg. a liq. 107 to be treated, an induction coil 12 for low-frequency internal heating is fixed to the shaft 11, and a rotary drum 3 capable of rotating around the fixed shaft 11 is supported on the outside. The rotary drum 3 is a hollow body consisting of the cylindrical drum 13 and end plates 14 and 15 on both ends, the induction coil 12 is housed in the drum, and a cylindrical heating element 17 is fixed on the outside. When the induction coil 12 is energized through a lead wire 25, an alternating magnetic field is generated therefrom, hence the heating element 17 placed in the magnetic field and consisting of a good conductor is heated by the eddy current loss or hysteresis loss, the heat is transferred to the drum 13, and the drum 13 of the rotary drum 3 is heated. |
