PURPOSE:To make tool changing so easily by rocking one of tool pots housed in a tool magazine in parallel with a spindle by means of a rocking mechanism, and gripping and rotating it with an L-shaped change arm reciprocating between the tool magazine and the spindle. CONSTITUTION:Many tool pots 21 are shiftably installed in a tool magazine 20 facing toward a right angle to the axis of the spindle 13, and at least one of them, 21a, is situated in parallel with the spindle 13 by a rocking mechanism. An arm supporting device 40 is reciprocateably installed in a guide rail 31 lying between the tool magazine 20 and the spindle 13 while a pair of arms 41a and 41b bent and formed rectangularly are rotatably attached to it. When the tool pot 21a is hold by the arm 41a, retracted and the arm 41b comes onto the spindle 13 instead, the spindle 13 is made to do up whereby a tool is gripped by the arm 41b. And, an arm 41 is rotated as far as 90 deg., and the tool 21a gripped by the arm 41a is attached to the spindle 13, then the old tool is rotated and advanced forward and housed in the magazine 20. |
