PURPOSE:To increase the number of stages of focusing and to shorten the time for the idle traveling time before exposure control after focusing by driving a 1st control member by one-way rotation of a driving source to determine the controlled variable of extending a photographing lens and driving the 2nd control member by rotation of the driving source in the other direction to execute the action to release a shutter. CONSTITUTION:The driving source 11 which can be freely rotated in both ways is provided. The 1st control member 20 which is driven only by the one-way rotation of the driving source 11 and determines the controlled variable for extending the photographing lens by the rotating amt. thereof and the 2nd control member 25 which is driven only by the rotation of the driving source 11 in the other direction and acts to release the shutter are provided. Clutch mechanisms 18, 21 which transmit the driving force selectively to the 1st control member 20 and the 2nd control member 25 according to the rotating directions of the driving source 11 are provided. A control circuit which is capable of reversely rotationally driving the driving source 11 and stopping said source in at least one direction thereof is further provided. The number of the focusing stages is thereby increased, by which the focusing with high accuracy is enabled and the idle traveling time before the exposure control after the focusing is shortened.
