PURPOSE:To obtain a hair treatment, by forming pearly crystal form an ampholytic surface active agent of a bis(2-alkyl-N-hydroxyethylimidazoline) chloroacetic acid complex type, polypeptide, stearyl alcohol and behenyl alcohol. CONSTITUTION:A hair treatment containing 0.5-10wt.% ampholytic surface active agent shown by the formula (R is 11-21C alkyl), 1.0-12wt.% polypeptide having 200-5,000 average mol.wt., 0.1-10wt.% stearyl alcohol and 0.15-15wt.% behenyl alcohol and having the weight ratio of stearyl alcohol and behenyl alcohol of 1:1.5-4.5. Since the hair treatment (e.g. hair rinse or hair treatment) forms pearly crystal, the hair treatment has beautiful appearance, excellent shelf stability and hair finishing effects.
