PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically fold a tape and to store the same by leading a cut end of the tape to one corner section of a storage container in a condition in which an elevatable bottom wall in the storage container is held at an elevated position, and by allowing the tape to descend in accordance with the amount of feed. CONSTITUTION:In such a condition that the bottom wall 32 of a storage container 28 mounted on a slide table 29 is elevated up to a position near to the upper end opening of the container 28, a bed plate 12 in one of folding machines 11 is advanced. When a tape 3 on which electric parts are adhered is fed out up to its fold-line position, the tape is folded by a press roller 16 operated by a cylinder 15, and a cut end of the tape 3 is led to one corner part of the storage container 28 on the bottom wall 32 in association with retraction of a bed plate 12 in the other folding machine. The successively fed-out tape 3 is folded by the right and left folding machines 11 which are alternately operated, and is loaded on the bottom wall 32 while the bottom wall 32 is successively lowered in accordance with the amount of the loaded tape by means of an elevating block 38 so as to store the folded tape 3 in the storage container 28. Thus, it is possible to aim at automating the storage of a tape on which electronic parts are adhered, into a storage container.
