PURPOSE:To prevent the bed material from springing out toward the outside of a boiler main body while shortening a starting time by making the start of the boiler feeding flow of a minimum air which is necessary for fluidization of the fluidized bed, and thereafter by retaining fluidization of the fluidized bed decreasing a flow of the air, in accordance with the rise of temperature of the fluidized bed. CONSTITUTION:A bed material 4 as a main structural element of a fluidized bed 5 gets lightened in accordance with the rise of temperature, and the air is expanded by the same cause. Therefore, a minimum feed amount of the air to make the fluidized bed flow uniformly is different in accordance with the temperature. Concretely, as the temperature of the fluidized bed rises, flowability of the fluidized bed is improved and the minimum feed amount of the air decreases. In other word, when the minimum feed amount of the air, etc., determined by the temperature is supplied to the fluidized bed boiler, the starting time can be shortened without cooling the fluidized bed by the air being supplied because the excessive air, etc., are, not supplied to the fluidized bed. Further, as the state of flow is stabilized, the bed material 4 does not spring out of the boiler main body 1.
