The contact bracket is for a cable socket linking the pins to the stripped conductor ends of a flat cable. There is a support with projecting ridges held in position in slots by springs. The springs are held in the slots by lips. The support consists of a plastic housing with a box shaped section and a flat cover. The two longitudinal sidewalls of the housing extend beyond the edges. They are flexibly linked to the rest of the housing and are used to support the springs.
