PURPOSE:To control two functions of cooling and cell reaction in a separate manner by leading a part of the air fed to a cooling gas passage into an oxidizer gas passage and, after offering it to reaction, exhausting it from an exhaust manifold. CONSTITUTION:The fed-in air, as shown by a void arrow, enters a circulating route from an air inlet 12, accelerated by a blower 13, entering a cooling pipe 23, subdivided and it passes through the cooling gas passage 3 installed in a cooling plate by way of an inserting part 24 of the cooling pipe. The generated heat is received by a cell and it is exhausted to a distributing manifold 22. A part of the air finished of its heat exchange with the cell delivers the heat at a heat exchanger by way of the circulating route 10 and then it reenters the cooling pipe 23 and repeats its circulation. And, a part of air inside the distributing manifold 22, as shown by a full line arrow, passes through an oxidizer gas passage to be installed in opposition to an oxidizer electrode and moving in the cell 1, and for this while, oxygen is consumed by reaction at the cell and aqueous vapor is added, then it is exhausted from an outlet 11 by way of an exhaust manifold 21. With this constitution, two functions, say, cooling and cell reaction are properly controllable in a separate manner. |
