A sanitary towel is fitted on the side away from the body with means of attaching the towel to the underwear. They consist of a layer of plastic foam, fixed to the towel by a layer of adhesive which is partly exposed by holes in the foam layer. The latter is pref. 0.5-0.5 mm thick with holes of 1 - 10mm dia. and a spacing of 3 - 30mm. The pref. foam material is PU, polyethylene, polybutadien or EVA.
