<p>It is proposed to use a wet electrostatic precipitator which is located directly below the grate-type bottom of the booth and in which a spray device for mixing the exhaust air with scrubbing water is also provided on the inlet side. It has been found that the exhaust air can be cleaned in this way at substantially lower expense on energy, flushing air and scrubbing water. Moreover, chemical flocculants and settling agents are no longer necessary, and the residues of paint and coatings can be passed to a re-use. <IMAGE> </p> |
