摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the purity of product in an isotope separation device using a laser method by providing the electrodes for recovering impurities which forms the electric field parallel to the magnetic field for deflecting the electron beam, between a vapor generator and a product recovery electrode. CONSTITUTION:The vapor flow 7 generated at the vapor generator 19 enters into the electrodes 20 for recovering impurities through a slit 9. The positive ions, such as thermal dissociation ions, of impurities contained in the vapor flow 7, is deflected by the electric field 22 formed between a positive electrode 20a and a negative electrode 20b, and attracted to the side of the negative electrode 20b to be recovered. As the direction of the electric field 22 is formed in the same direction as that of the magnetic field 6 deflecting an electron beam 5, the positive ions of impurities are attracted to the negative electrode 20b by the deflecting force of the electric field 22 without receiving the effect of the magnetic field 6. In this case, the intensity of the electric field 22 is set in such one that the positive ions of impurities are moved by the deflecting force of the electric field 22. Consequently, the positive ions of impurities contained in the vapor flow 7 are removed and recovered before entering to a photoreaction part 14 with the result that the purity of product is improved.
