The invention relates to a vacuum gripper for sheet-bar loaders for individually separating and removing sheet bars from a sheet-bar stack and for transferring the sheet bars to a conveying means, for example a conveyor belt or the like. The invention intends to improve the removal of the sheet bars from the sheet-bar stack and the transfer of the sheet bars to a downstream conveyor. For this purpose, according to the invention, in a vacuum gripper of the design described at the beginning, it is proposed that the vacuum gripper is displaceable, counter to spring force, in both directions axially with respect to the piston rod of the actuating cylinder and is pivotably mounted so as to be capable of oscillating transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis.
