An apparatus for electrical telecommunications technology is proposed, having a plurality of printed circuit boards which are arranged in an enclosed metal housing. In order to achieve effective screening of assemblies which are arranged on different printed circuit boards, a screening plate (16) is arranged parallel to each printed circuit board (14) and makes contact via metallic connections with contact surfaces (19) provided on the printed circuit board (14), the contact surfaces (19), which are arranged on both sides of the printed circuit board (14), being electrically conductively connected to the housing (1) via contact springs (21) which are inserted in the plastic rails (15, 15') and are mounted on the top and bottom of the housing respectively. <IMAGE>
