In the case of a positioning device having a retaining sleeve (1) for ammunition, erection struts (2) are hinged on the retaining sleeve (1) and can be spread out to the sides such that they are offset with respect to the rear end of said retaining sleeve (1). In order to achieve virtually vertical erection on different ground surfaces, each erection strut (2) has a strut foot part (1) which can be extended by means of a force element.
