A description is given of a double-leaved, sound-insulating interior partition wall, in the case of which, in order to increase the sound insulation, weighting plates are adhesively bonded onto the inner surfaces of the base panel and top panel, of which one plate passes from web to web, in the case of the base panel, and, in contrast, passes beyond the webs in the case of the top panel. The novel construction of the web is characterised in that the latter is divided in two and is glued, over the full surface, on both sides to soft-fibre strips, but the webs, however, are glued to one another in a punctiform manner at spacings of 60 cm.
