The subject of this invention is an earth anchor for anchoring pylon and tower structures, particularly anchor wires for telephone and electrical pylons to the ground, where the earth anchor consists of a bar (1) which is partially pounded into the ground, with devices on its lower end for anchoring the bar to the ground and devices on its upper end (7) for connecting the earth anchor to the stay wire. Current earth anchors are problematic, mostly because of their slow installation and incompatibility, e.g. under winter conditions. In this invention, these problems are corrected so that the anchoring members include at least one flange (2) jointed from its lower end in so that it can open from its insertion angle parallel to the bar (1) into a defined angle (α) relative to the bar (1).<IMAGE>
