PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by detecting peripheral illuminance, continuing the operation of a load function included in a device main body in he daytime or during a time band lighting up illuminations, and during the time band of off, automatically stopping the load function. CONSTITUTION:When the operation of the device is started, the illuminance of the setting position of the device main body 1 is detected by plural photoelectric converting elements 18 and the detected results are inputted to comparators 20 through amplifiers 19. Each comparator 20 compares the input with a reference voltage 21 to be variably set up in accordance with volume, and if any one of the elements 18 outputs a voltage corresponding to the quantity of radiated light and higher than the voltage 21, a CPU continues the operation of the load function through an OR gate 22. When the voltage of all the converters 18 are lower than the voltage, the CPU stops the operation of the load function through the gate 22. Thereby, the operation of the load function is automatically stopped only in the time band turning off the illuminations, so that power consumption can be reduced without lossing operatability. |
