PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the titled disk player by specifying a distance respective disk carrying faces on a turn table when a playing means is set up on 1st and 2nd positions, and the position of an intersecting point between a face passing the center of thickness of a disk set up on the turn table and the rotation center axis of the turn table. CONSTITUTION:The distance between the disk carrying faces of the turn table 37 when the playing means is set up on the 1st and 2nd positions, i.e. a supporting member 38 is set up on a position position and a reverse position, is set up equally to the thickness (t) of the disk 22. The pivoting axis 38a of a pivoting member 38 is allowed to pass the intersecting point between a face a face passing the center of the thickness of the disk 22 set up on the turn table 37 and the rotational center of the turn table 37. Thereby, the position of the disks on the turn table 37 when the playing means is set up on two position, i.e., the 1st and 2nd positions, is made equip. Consequently, only one sensor is required for detecting the loading of the disk 22 carried by a disk carrying mechanism to the turn table, so that the cost of the disk player can be reduced.
