PURPOSE:To produce a sintered body having an internal space and uniform density by inserting a low melting point metallic extruding pattern into a compacting die having the specific width of linear slit, pouring slurry of the powder for sintering in the compacting die, compressing, removing the liquid, heating, removing the extruding pattern by melting and sintering. CONSTITUTION:At the time of using (d) for average particle diameter of the powder for sintering (for example, iron powder), the linear slits 15, 16 having 10mu<=S<=3d slit width S. The extruding pattern 18 for forming the internal space formed with the metal having melting point lower than sintering temp. (for example, copper, etc.) is inserted into the compacting die 11. Next, the slurry composing of the powder for sintering, organic binder and water or organic solvent is poured in the compacting chamber 17, and compressed with a plunger 14 to remove the liquid from the slits 15, 16 and solidified to form the green compact including the extruding pattern 18. This green compact is heated to remove the extruding pattern 18 by melting and also executing the sintering, the sintered body having the internal space is produced.
