PRODUCTION OF WAVELENGTH MULTIPLEX RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To enable mass production of large-area media by forming the media by an extrusion molding method. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. essentially consisting of a high-polymer dispersion medium (e.g., polystyrene) and photosensitive material (e.g., tetraphenyl porphine) is worked to a prescribed medium shape (e.g., plate) by the extrusion molding method. The resulted medium is used for recording and/or reproduction by photchemical hole burning. The mass-production of the media having the large area and excellent mechanical strength and are optically homogeneous is enabled by this method.
