PURPOSE:To simplify a cancel operation, by providing a means to separate a line wire from an extension at the time of setting holding, a feeding means to feed the extension at the time of separation, and a detecting means to detect the off-hook of a slave telephone set connected to the extension in feeding in a main equipment, and canceling the holding of a holding means at the time of detecting the off-hook again by the detecting means. CONSTITUTION:After the arrival of incoming call, the handset of the slave telephone set T is hooked off, then, a line is closed, and an outgoing signal is set at a holding state, and simultaneously, a contorl part 26 controls a line switching relay RY so as to make it switch relay contacts r1 and r2 to a normally-open terminal NC side, and separates the extension 5 from the line wire 2. At this time, feeding is performed from a call current supplying part 14 to the extension 5, and a hook dial pulse detecting part 13 is maintained at an operable state. The control part 26, in the case of detecting the offhook after setting the holding, decides it as the cancel of the holding, and returns the line switching relay RY to its original state, and connects the line wire 2 to the extension 5, and also, cancels the holding of a closed state by turning OFF a holding part 12. Therefore, the trouble of an operation can be eliminated, and also, an ordinary telephone set can be used.
