The watch casing includes a mineral glass cover-glass (3) assembled with a seal, against a solid box (4) made of a plastic material. A thin cover of gold (5) is attached to the outer edge of the solid box. A base (7) is then fitted to cover both the solid box and the outer ring. The whole asembly is retained by screws (9) parallel to the axis of the watch which are threaded into thickened parts (5b) of the outer ring. The thickening of the gold ring only extends for a part of the height of the watch thus reducing the total amt. of gold needed for mfr.
