PURPOSE:To prepare the titled composition having excellent fluidity, kneading stability, and acoustic characteristics, and good coating effect, and suitable for a speaker cabinet, etc., by compounding charcoal and an inorganic filler containing barium sulfate to an acid-modified propylene resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition (100pts.wt.) is prepared by melting and mixing (A) 30-70pts.wt. of a propylene resin containing >=10wt% acid-modified propylene resin selected from (i) an acid-modified propylene resin obtained by treating a propylene resin with an unsaturated carboxylic acid (especially maleic acid) and/or its anhydride in the presence of an organic peroxide and (ii) an organic peroxide-modified propylene resin obtained by treating the above acid- modified propylene resin and a propylene resin with an organic peroxide, (B) >=5pts.wt., especially 10-20pts.wt. of charcoal (usually finer than 12 mesh) and (C) >=10pts.wt., especially 15-40pts.wt. of an inorganic filler composed of 50- 80% barium sulfate having prticle diameter of 1-10mu and the remaining part of talc having particle diameter of 1-30mu. |
