PURPOSE:To make it possible to form a thin and even lubricious membrane by carrying out the surface treatment in soaking a bearing in a solution mixing 0.3 to 3.0 wt% of an organic molybdenum compound, 0.1 to 1.0 wt% of an organic zinc compound, and remaining wt% of a mineral oil or a synthetic hydrocarbon oil at 170 to 220 deg.C. CONSTITUTION:The surface treatment of a bearing is carried out by soaking in a mixture solution which consists of 0.3 to 3.0 wt% of an organic molybdenum compound, 0.1 to 1.0 wt% of an organic zinc compound, with or without an amine-type oxidation-preventive agent, and the remaining wt% of a mineral oil or a synthetic bydrocarbon oil, and heated up to 170 to 220 deg.C. As the organic molybdenum compound, molybdenum dialkyldithiocarbonate, molybdenum diallyldithiocarbonate, or the like is available. And as the organic zinc compound, zinc dialkyldiphosphate, zinc diallyldiphosphate, or the like is available.
