PURPOSE:To perform automatic priming treatment in such a state that a circuit is connected to a membrane module, by changing the ratio of the flow rate of a plasma pump and that of a drain pump at the time of priming. CONSTITUTION:The supply source 17 of a priming liquid composed of a physiological saline solution is connected to the plasma introducing part H1 of a plasma circuit 1 and the replenishing liquid introducing part H2 of a replenishing liquid circuit 3 is connected to the drain outlet of a membrane module M. By the reception of the start signal from the outside, the priming liquid is allowed to flow to the membrane module M in an upward direction while the flow rate of the plasma pump 6 and that of the drain pump 7 are held almost equal. A detection signal is received from a flow rate detector 9 by a plasma pump flow rate change-over means 11 and, when the flow rate of the priming liquid supplied to the membrane module reaches the first set value, the rotational speed of the plasma pump 6 is increased to supply the priming liquid to the membrane module while the amount of the priming liquid supplied to the membrane module is held so as to be made larger than the drain amount thereof discharged by the drain pump 7.
