The gutter flap consists of a longitudinally slotted collar (34), pushed onto the lower end of the downpipe (66). A gutter-shaped flap (38) is provided on the collar about a horizontal axis. The flap closes the slot in the collar when in the closed position, and encloses the lower collar end when in open position. A circumferential clamp (10) is located around the free end of the flap. The clamp has a stiffened grab section (12,16) and clamp sections (14) on either side, which are riveted to the flap. The clamp sections apply a circumferential tension to the flap, and engage clamping around the collar.
