PURPOSE:To lower a cost and noise, by driving a MOSFET, with the discharge circuit of the capacitor of a PUT and a transistor combined with each other. CONSTITUTION:A power controlling circuit is composed of a DC power source 1, the MOS.FET 3 of a semiconductor switch, a PUT 4, a transistor(Tr) 5, resistors R1-R6, a variable resistor VR, and a capacitor C. In this case, immediately after the DC power source 1 is connected, the capacitor C is charged through the resistors VR, R4 and the Tr 5 is turned ON and the FET 3 is turned OFF. The PUT 4 is turned ON when the charged voltage of the capacitor C gets higher than its gate voltage, and the capacitor C is discharged, and the FET 3 is turned ON, and current is permitted to flow to a load 2. Then, the discharge of the capacitor C is completed, and the charge is re-started, and the discharge and charge are repeated, and power fed to the load 2 is controlled.
