PURPOSE:To make centralized control of remote subscriber switches having stand-alone functions possible by means of a host station, by installing a memory storing an initial program and initial program actuator to each remote subscriber switch. CONSTITUTION:When a remote subscriber switch 2 is initialized, a host exchange 1 allocates an initialize signal to a specific signal bit of digital line signals and sends the initialize signal to the switch 2. Upon receiving the initialize signal, the initial program actuator 14 of the remote subscriber switch 2 reads out an initial program from the 1st memory and actuates the switch 2. The ordinary call processing program successively sent from the host exchange 1 by using a specific time slot of the digital line signals is stored in to the 2nd memory 15. Since the actuation of the remote subscriber switch is performed by sending the initialize signal to the remote subscriber switch from the host exchange in such way, centralized control of plural remote subscriber switches can be made by means of the host exchange.
