PURPOSE:To arbitrarily select and execute a spare system program, by reading out a program whose specification is designated, transferring it to a main memory, and executing a transferred program. CONSTITUTION:Since plural kinds of programs can be stored in file memories 2-0 and 2-1, a diagnosing program or the program to perform the delivery of data on memories 3-0 and 3-1, etc., can be stored as individual program. And the initial start up of a current in use system #0 and a spare system #1 are performed, and also, the designation of the specification of the program stored in the file memory is performed. The above specification designation is performed in such a way that specification designation information is transferred in advance from the current in use system #0 to the spare system #1, or it is performed by a start up signal corresponding to the specification. Therefore, by designating the program specification of the spare system #1 by a command, etc., it follows that the program whose specification is designated by an initial start up signal is executed in the spare system #1, and an arbitrary program can be selected and executed.
