<p>A breakwater comprising a rear continuous block formed at least partly from settable material and having a plurality of outwardly extending fingers projecting therefrom. Suitably the continuous block has an internal core formed from floatable material and an external sheath formed of said settable material. Suitably the continuous block is formed from a plurality of interconnected modules and each outwardly extending finger is a module similar in dimensions to the modules of the rear continuous block and each finger module is attached to the rear continuous block so as to provide a recess between each adjacent finger module. There also may be provided elongate fasteners extending through each module of the continuous block and also through each associated finger module.</p> |
